Senior centers provide many activities to improve overall health and well-being, while also providing a sense of community to its members. Yoga is one such practice

that provides an array of health benefits, physically and psychologically.

It is a physical practice focused on breathing that creates space in the body as well as the mind. It provides a multitude of health benefits to the seniors. From improving balance and joint flexibility, to increasing strength and mobility, reducing anxiety, and oxidative stress and encouraging mindfulness.

More and more senior centers are appreciating the benefits of Yoga (Traditional and Chair Yoga) and Mindfulness for their residents and the caregivers and offer it as part of their weekly activities.
